2023 Cocktails for the Coast

Cocktails for the Coast is the Alabama Coastal Foundation's annual fundraiser to help celebrate our coastal environment. This year, we are delighted to announce we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary at this in-person event at Bluegill Restaurant (3775 Battleship Parkway, Spanish Fort, AL 36527) in their private backroom along the Delta.

While the online ticketing has closed, we hope you will come tonight to join other supporters from 5:30-7:30pm. Tickets are $100 which will allow you to enjoy delicious food, two beverages of your choice, live music from Jimmy Lumpkin, and remarks from our keynote speaker Dr. Thane Wibbels!

Dr. Wibbels is not only a Department of Biology professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), but also is the director of their Undergraduate Honors Program. His research over the past four decades has focused on the biology and conservation of marine turtles, with an emphasis on the critically endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle. He has a long and active history of teaching and mentorship at both the undergraduate and graduate levels both at UAB and at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
